Stephen Wilson will make his Chelsea gallery debut with the opening of "Surface(s)" at HG Contemporary in New York City on August 9th. He will exhibit three new abstract pieces alongside works from artists Carl McCraw, Solange Umutoni, Jerry McLaughlin, Anna Zaia and Alexandra Grounds. The exhibition will be a collective showing of very unique talents featuring a variety of mediums and styles from portraiture, to conceptual work utilizing guns, to abstract embroidery. “Surface(s)” highlights the diversity of personal narrative through form, material and texture. Established in 2014, HG contemporary has emerged as a breakthrough gallery dedicated to embracing groundbreaking aesthetics and process-oriented works in their programming and artists.
